June 2026 - The Meowy Post (Issue 8)

♡ COMFORT FOOD ALL DAY EVERYDAY ♡ 🍝

I hope you've been enjoying a few cozy moments lately... the kind where the world feels a little slower, the kitchen feels warm and comforting, and there's something delicious waiting on the table. I've been thinking a lot about those moments recently, especially the ones shared with family and friends over a home-cooked meal.

That feeling is what inspired this month's Meowy release: Mamma Margherita ♡

Mamma Margherita is the heart of Pizzeria 'Il Gattone' in Meowsfordshire. While her husband Antonio is busy making pizzas and her children, Salvatore and Concetta, keep her on her paws, Margherita is the one making sure everyone is cared for. She's glam, she's the boss and she always knows how to throw an amazing dinner party!

Margherita was inspired by the wonderful mothers and grandmothers in my own life, along with the incredible home cooks I met while living in Italy. One thing I quickly learned is that food is never just food. It's conversation, community and a way of showing love.

I hope Mamma Margherita brings a little warmth into your life this month too... encouraging you to gather around the table, cook something nourishing and enjoy the people who make life feel a little sweeter.

After all, comfort food is best enjoyed with good company and a cozy playlist like this one on Spotify (click here!) 🍝♡

♡ Mamma Margherita's Journal Prompts ♡

If you're enjoying a warm meal or taking a quiet moment for yourself, here are a few gentle prompts inspired by Margherita and her family kitchen:

- What meal always feels like home to you?
Why does it bring you comfort?

- Who is someone that has cared for you through food?
What do you remember most about them?

- Describe your perfect cozy dinner.
Who is there, what are you eating and how does it feel?

- What is a food memory you'll never forget?
Why has it stayed with you?

📮 A little reminder from the post office 📮

Slow dinners matter. Family recipes matter. Connection matters.

If you'd like to continue wandering through Meowsfordshire and meet more of its chubby cat residents, you're always welcome to subscribe to The Meowy Post and stay awhile ♡
